Celebrating Milestones: Jiyo India Foundation's First Event at SOS Children's Village of India, Faridabad
In 2013, Jiyo India Foundation (JIF) proudly hosted its inaugural event at the SOS Children's Village of India in Faridabad, marking the beginning of a long-standing partnership dedicated to supporting and uplifting communities in need. This event was especially memorable as JIF had the honor of participating in the wedding celebrations of one of the village's cherished residents, Sunita.
Recognizing the significance of this milestone in Sunita's life, Jiyo India Foundation contributed Rs. 15,000 towards the wedding expenses. This contribution played a vital role in ensuring that Sunita's special day was filled with joy and memorable moments. The funds provided were used to purchase meaningful gifts, including a ring for the groom and a new bed for the newlywed couple. Additionally, the contribution helped arrange a grand feast for the Barat (the groom's wedding procession) and the other residents of the SOS village, fostering a sense of community and celebration.
Spreading Warmth and Joy: Donation to Saikripa Orphanage
Jiyo India Foundation provided 140 readymade clothes to the children at Saikripa Orphanage. This initiative was a part of JIF’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of underprivileged children and ensuring they have access to essential resources.
Saikripa Orphanage is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children who have been orphaned or abandoned. The orphanage offers not only shelter but also education, healthcare, and emotional support, aiming to give every child the chance to lead a fulfilling and productive life.
Transforming Lives: The Story of Mahphuz Ahmed and His Son
Mahphuz Ahmed from Jalaun faced immense challenges in caring for his 16-year-old son, Ajim, who was struck by brain fever at the age of 3. The illness left Ajim in a coma, and although he eventually recovered his cognitive functions, his limbs remained paralyzed. This situation left Mahphuz in urgent need of financial assistance for his son’s ongoing treatment and their day-to-day living expenses.
- With a small 'thela' (cart), Mahphuz struggled to make ends meet, earning just Rs 6,000 per month. Additionally, he was burdened with a debt of around Rs 1.5 lakh, making it nearly impossible to provide the necessary care for Ajim.
Recognizing the dire circumstances, Jiyo India Foundation stepped in to support Mahphuz and his family. Committed to creating sustainable solutions, the foundation took on the challenge of securing a stable livelihood for Mahphuz. Through a dedicated fundraising campaign, Jiyo India Foundation successfully raised funds to donate an e-rickshaw to Mahphuz.
This generous donation transformed Mahphuz’s life, enabling him to earn approximately Rs 12,000 per month. The increased income not only eased the financial strain but also ensured that Mahphuz could consistently provide for Ajim’s medical needs without constant worry.

This contribution, made yesterday, will provide essential power backup to the centre’s seven computers, ensuring uninterrupted learning for its students.Saikripa Sansthan is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to uplifting the lives of underprivileged individuals through education and skill development. Their training centre in Noida offers a variety of courses aimed at equipping people with the skills they need to secure better job opportunities and improve their quality of life. The institute is particularly notable for its affordability, charging only Rs. 200 per month for all the courses they offer, making education accessible to the poorest sections of society.

Jiyo India Foundation has made a meaningful contribution to Nai Disha, a preparatory school for underprivileged children in Gurgaon, by donating an inverter. This two-room school provides essential early education to children in the community.
